BK Track & Field finishes season at Private-Parochial Championships

The Monroe County Private-Parochial Track Championships were held on May 18, 2015 and marked the end of regular season competition for Bishop Kearney. After a season of solid performance, BK athletes ran away with several top honors to wrap up the season. 

In the boys 100 meter, Tabari Boehler finished 3rd overall with at time of 11.7 seconds. Sheldon Adams finished the boys 400 meter run in second place with a time of 57.4 seconds while team co-captain Ian Sikora placed third with a time of 58 seconds.

The BK throwing squad came up big at this championship meet. Ricky Russotti finished third in boys discus with a personal record distance of 102 feet 10 inches and Chris Jackson, the defending Section Five indoor shot put champion, continued to dominate the throwing circle with a personal best shot put of 45 feet 81/2 inches earning the Private Parochial League Shot Put Champion title!

Chris, Ricky, and Jakarri Buckner all qualified to compete in the Section Five Championship Meet on May 30.
